In 2015, URWERK took part in the Only Watch charity auction by donating for sale the first watch of its new 106 series collection. The unique UR-106 Black model was designed with the understated elegance characteristic of the 103 series watches.
It featured a revised wandering-hours system with moonphases. Three satellites carried the hours in sequence across a scale of minutes, thus showing the time both digitally and analogically.
However, this unique watch represented more than a stylistic breakthrough; it made a social statement on behalf of the independent company that created it.
“If our contribution can support medical research, there can be no hesitation.”
